That's the purpose of our struggle. In this site, we'll talk about equal opportunities. We don't like words like disability, integration or inclusion because they don't define us. Our aim is to provide equal opportunities for learning vocal technique and singing.

 

Many people feel barriers in their lives, but not disability. Any knid of barrier: physical, intelectual, social, linguistic or sensory. To overcome a barrier, you just need someone to build the tools.

 

Nowadays exists a huge range of technologies that allow us to construct the framework to help in the overcoming of the barriers.

 

What is this project about?

It’s about to offer people the opportunity to learn technique to enjoy our voice thanks to technology and the search of adapted spaces.

 

Why singing?

Traditionally, it has only been possible learning vocal technique in presential classes. In this very moment, the challenge is to be able to extend the technique to anyone who wants, regardless of the barriers.

 

Singing is an artistic activity that allows the expression of our feelings. It is also a pleasurable activity in which you make friends and enjoy in a group. But, above all, singing means a high benefit for physical and mental health. In "Singing and health" section you can read articles on the benefits of singing to the health of people.

 

What kind of barriers we speak?

Anything you feel that prevent us from reaching our objective, learning voice, is a barrier. For example, architectural barriers, physical barriers, sensory barriers, psychological barriers…

 

Who can enjoy this project?

Anyone who feels that there is a barrier in his or her way to reach the goal of learning to sing. For example:

-People with physical disabilities. Because of architectural barriers, they can’t access this learning.

-People with a bad musical ear rejected from other teachers.

-Hearing impaired persons.

-Blind and partially sighted people.

-People with incapacitating diseases like agoraphobia, electromagnetic sensitivity or multiple chemical sensitivity. They live imprisoned in their homes.

-People living in rural communities without an easy access to vocal learning.

-Persons who live abroad and want to sing with teachers of another country.

 

And who can help in this project?

Everybody is welcome. This project needs volunteers. If you are interested in the project and want to help, please contact us. In "Types of barriers" section you can see some collaborations that are needed, but there's still more. If someone wants to work as a web developer, as community manager, as a translator ... All contributions are welcome.
